Várias expectativas cercam a 64ª cerimônia do Grammy, que acontece neste domingo (3). A premiação deste ano aconteceria em janeiro, mas foi adiada para abril por causa de um surto de Covid-19 no início do ano. A troca de datas forçou uma mudança de local de Los Angeles para o MGM Grand Garden Arena, em Las Vegas. No Brasil, haverá transmissão ao vivo pelo canal TNT, às 21h.
O cantor, compositor e pianista Jon Batiste lidera as nomeações ao Grammy 2022, com 11 indicações. Batiste, conhecido pelo trabalho no cinema e na TV, onde dirige a banda Stay Human, é residente no programa de The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, da CBS, e concorre a algumas das principais categorias do prêmio, incluindo álbum do ano (por "We Are"), gravação do ano, além de R&B, jazz e clássico.

Os indicados foram anunciados pela Recording Academy na terça-feira (23), numa cerimônia realizada no Grammy Museum, em Los Angeles, e transmitida online. O grupo coreano BTS e a banda italiana Maneskin se apresentaram no show.
